Job Summary:

It is your duty as a financial accountant to become well-versed in finance policies and pertinent accounting standards to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and dependability of management and financial reports.
General Obligations and Accountabilities:
- Oversee the book closing process and financial report creation in compliance with the hotel policies and the Uniform System of Accounts, 10th Edition.
- Make sure that the reporting deadlines for the hotel and corporate office are fulfilled.
- Make that the P&L, bank accounts, and general ledger are accurate, complete, and accurately reflect the hotel’s financial situation by reviewing and reconciling them.
- Examine and evaluate financial records, spot trends, and offer advice as needed.
- Sufficient examination of Receiving Reports, Invoices, Expense Reports, Payment Vouchers, and General Cashier Reports to guarantee that they are properly authorized, error-free, and adhere to hotel policy.
- Oversee and check the monthly payroll’s preparation, and make sure that salaries are paid on schedule.
- Verify that all internal controls—financial and otherwise—are operating in a systematic and effective manner, guaranteeing compliance with hotel policies, protecting property, and securing, to the greatest extent feasible, the accuracy and completeness of records.
- Create the Sun System database and make sure it is kept up to date. Oversee the processing and input of reference and financial data for the FBM and payroll systems.
- Keep an eye on the finance staff and make sure they receive the proper training and perform to the required level.
- In order to complete audits, collaborate with both internal and external auditors.
- Create and manage a computerized and manual filing system, making sure that the files are appropriately labelled, indexed, and only accessible by those with the required authorization. Important papers and original contracts need to be kept in a fireproof safe.
- To safeguard the health and safety of both visitors and staff as well as to preserve and protect the environment, do business in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Skills:
