Tanzania’s East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) is accepting applications for the positions listed below;

East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP).

Concurrently being constructed with EACOP are two upstream development projects, Tilenga and Kingfisher, respectively, which are not a part of EACOP development and investment. Each development will have a Central Processing Facility (CPF) to separate and treat the oil, gas, and water that the wells produce. Kingfisher plans to install four well pads and a CPF with a potential daily capacity of 42,000 barrels. With 31 wellpads, Tilenga claims a CPF of 204000 bbl/d.

The Human Resources Office of Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) is announcing the following employment vacancies to all Tanzanians who are prepared to work at the Marine Storage Terminal Project (MST) in Chongoleani and who meet the conditions below.

Available Jobs and Overview:

1. 2 positions for Truck drivers.

2. 4 positions for Roller operators.

3. Loader Operator.

4. 2 Positions for Water Bowser Driver/Operators.

5. 5 Positions for Crawler Crane Operators.

6. 3 positions for Mobile Crane Operators.

7. 36 Positions for Riggers.

8. Scaffolders –  30 jobs.

9. 20 positions for Electricians.

10. 3 Positions for Scissor Lift Operators.

11. 3 Positions for Driver/Operator of Cement Mixer Trucks.

12. There are 15 openings for local chefs.

 

General Requirements for the Positions Above:

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in comparable domains or in the function in question.
  • For most positions, three to five years of experience are necessary; more experience is needed for specialist positions like electricians or crane operators.

Certifications and Licensing.

  • Ownership of any required licenses or certifications, such as a crane operator certification for crane operators, an electrician license for electricians from government agencies as EWURA, or a heavy duty driver’s license and certificate for truck and water bowser drivers.
  • Certificates in equipment operation for positions such as scissors lift operators, loaders, and roller operators.

Understanding and Proficiency:

  • Knowledge of safety procedures, equipment upkeep, and operation.
  • Competence with tools, equipment, or vehicles that are pertinent to the position.
  • The capacity to read and comprehend technical texts, maps, and drawings as needed.
  • Depending on the role, basic to intermediate mechanical or technical skills.

Security:

  • Understanding of industry norms and safety rules pertaining to building, such as OSHA or comparable laws.
  • Respect for safety procedures and guidelines in order to protect oneself and others at work.
  • The capacity to adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical Health and Endurance:

  • Capacity to carry out physical duties including working at heights, moving large objects, and working long hours on the road.
  • Adequate physical condition to work in a variety of environments and weather conditions.

Technical Ability:

  • The ability to use tools and technologies specific to the work; for example, truck drivers may use GPS systems, and electricians may use specialized tools.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with managers, stakeholders, and other team members.
  • Capacity to contribute to a secure and efficient work environment by working well in a team.

Time:

  • For the duration of the project’s construction, the contract will be for a specific task.

Job type:

  • Permanent position.

Workplace and Residence:

The Chongoleani Ward in Tanga City will be the place of employment for these positions. For these positions, Daqing Oil field Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) will supply food and camping lodgings at our makeshift facilities. If chosen for this role, the candidate must make use of the camp accommodations.
