The Available Positions and Qualifications
Faculty of Law
- Assistant Lecturer: Master’s degree in law (minimum GPA 4.0) or Bachelor’s degree in law (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
Faculty of Business and Economics.
- Assistant Lecturer (Procurement & Supply): A master’s degree in procurement, supply, or logistics (minimum GPA 4.0) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (Human Resource Management): A master’s degree in human resource management (minimum GPA 4.0) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (minimum GPA 3.5).
- For the position of Assistant Lecturer in Economics & Finance, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Economics & Finance or Accounting & Finance (minimum GPA 4.0) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Finance (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (Economics): Master’s degree in Economics (minimum GPA 4.0) or Bachelor’s degree in Economics (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (Marketing & Entrepreneurship): A master’s degree in marketing and entrepreneurship (minimum GPA 4.0) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).

- Assistant Lecturer (Psychology): Master of Science or Arts degree in Psychology (minimum GPA 4.0) plus a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (History): Master’s degree in History (minimum GPA 4.0) or Bachelor’s degree with History as a primary subject (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (Literature & Kiswahili): Master’s degree in Literature and Kiswahili (Isimu) (minimum GPA 4.0) and a Bachelor’s degree with Literature, Isimu, or Linguistics as a primary subject (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (Information Technology): A master’s degree in information technology or computer science (minimum GPA 4.0) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences:
- Assistant Lecturer (Anthropology): Master’s degree in Anthropology of Wildlife Management (minimum GPA 4.0) and Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Tourism (minimum GPA of 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (Journalism): A master’s degree in journalism or communication (minimum GPA 4.0) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
- Assistant Lecturer (Community Development): A master’s degree in community development (minimum GPA 4.0) and a bachelor’s degree in a comparable discipline (minimum GPA 3.5, Upper Second Class).
Library Positions
- Librarian qualifications include a PhD in information studies, prior expertise in library management, and knowledge of university systems. Language proficiency is necessary.
- Assistant Librarian: Bachelor’s degree in Information Studies, demonstrated expertise in library operations, familiarity with university systems, and awareness of modern library core services. Language proficiency is necessary.
- Library Technician requirements include a diploma in Library, Archives, and Documentation Studies, prior experience in library operations, knowledge of university systems, and a grasp of modern library core services. Language proficiency is necessary.
