The Kilombero Sugar Jobs Vacancies (KSCL), the country’s largest sugar producer, works closely with Illovo Distillers Tanzania Limited (IDTL) and is a member of Illovo Sugar Africa Limited (Africa’s largest sugar producer). The enterprise is located in the Morogoro region in the country’s center/south, and it consists of two nearby agricultural estates and sugar plants, Msolwa and Ruembe, which are separated by the Great Ruaha River and connected by a low-level bridge. The company produces roughly 130 000 tons of sugar each year from approximately 1.25 million tons of sugar cane, 55% of which is planted by our own cane growing operations and 45% by our growers, who continue to benefit from the company’s extension support, as well as training and development. Kilombero Sugar Jobs Vacancies’s successful “route to market” sugar marketing business approach has resulted in strong local consumer support for its direct consumption brown sugar sold under the ‘Bwana Sukari’ brand name.
