The Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC Internships) – www.twcc-tz.org is a vital organization that brings together women and youth entrepreneurs from across Tanzania. TWCC, founded in December 2005, serves as an apex and umbrella institution for sectoral Business Women Associations, Companies, Cooperatives, Groups, and Sole Proprietors. TWCC currently has over 15,000 members and serves over 1 million women from all sectors of the economy through 27 Regional Chapters in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar, 14 Women Sectoral Associations, and 11 Platforms for Women in Cross-Border Trade. TWCC’s principal goal is to develop unity among female and young entrepreneurs, particularly those in the informal sector, in order to encourage business formalization and growth.
TWCC strives to eliminate poverty among women through rigorous capacity-building initiatives and mentorship programs that provide them with the essential skills and resources for success. Furthermore, TWCC works closely with both commercial and public sector institutions to fight for favorable laws that promote the growth of women-owned businesses.
