The Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) is a parastatal educational institution founded under the Institute of Accountancy Arusha Act of 1990. The Governing Council is responsible for the Institute’s general governance and supervision. Over time, the Institute has established a total of thirty-seven academic programmes, ranging from the Basic Technician Certificate to the Ordinary Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, and Master’s Degree. The Institute also offers short-term courses and seminars, many of which are tailored to specific client needs. It also does consulting and research as part of its Mission. Through these initiatives, IAA hopes to establish long-term partnerships with industry, the government, and non-governmental organizations.
