ANNOUNCING TEMPORARY JOB OPENINGS VIA TANZANIA’S SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR COTTON DEVELOPMENT.

 

Under the Building a Better Tomorrow (BBT) project, Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and the Ministry of Agriculture are working together to create a youth involvement program in agriculture. Through skill development (internships), 12,000 village-level economic activities, and the promotion of large-scale agricultural (Block farms), this program seeks to create 20,000 jobs for women and youth by 2030.

The Ministry of Agriculture has also planned to develop a special extension service program through graduate youths under the BBT Agricultural Extension Entrepreneurship Scheme (BBT AEES) as part of the effort to expand agricultural extension services throughout the nation. Under this program, 2,000 temporary jobs as follows must be filled by agricultural graduates in order to provide extension services for cotton farming:

 

 

How to Submit an Application

Every application needs to be submitted with:

a) Copies of birth certificates, NIDAs, diplomas, and degrees from reputable, government-accredited secondary school programs. Prospective graduates (2024) who meet the aforementioned requirements are urged to apply, along with copies of their result slips or partial transcripts.

b) A pair of current passport-size pictures of the candidate.

c) The applicant’s Curriculum Vitae (CV), which includes the applicant’s full address, contact information (phone and email), and the addresses of three trustworthy references.

All applications should be sent by email to coahr@sua.ac.tz, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sokoine University of Agriculture, with a copy to dus@sua.ac.tz, the Director of Undergraduate Studies. While applications can be sent directly to the offices listed, applicants are encouraged to send them by email.

Deadline for Applications The deadline for receiving applications is September 25, 2024, at the latest.
