Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS)
The Public Service recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) Vacancies is a government agency with the status of an autonomous Department that was established primarily to streamline the recruiting process for workers in the Public Service. The organ was constituted by Section 29(1) of the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002, as amended by Act No. 18 of 2007. Our vision is to be a regional centre of excellence in public service.
Our aim is to recruit public workers using modern ways that adhere to the values of equity, transparency, and merit, as well as to advise employers on employment-related issues.
Human resources are an important factor in public service delivery; thus, PSRS has been tasked with recruiting public servants in a fair, transparent, and timely manner, while ensuring quality and access to all applicants in order to provide equitable service in Tanzania. Our goal is to improve government public service on issues related to the recruitment process in accordance with our laws and regulations, while also enhancing excellent relations with our stakeholders.
