You are who you are?

  • A very driven educator who has outstanding attention to detail, enjoys working with children, and is capable of facilitating a curriculum that emphasizes holistic learning.
    It is possible for you to create, oversee, and assess lesson plans, work plans, lesson notes, and exams.
  • You may encourage and guide pupils to participate in extracurricular activities because you recognize their value.
  • A conscientious and diligent individual who takes pleasure in taking on extra responsibilities including being on duty, chairing assemblies, supervising projects, and serving on numerous school committees.

What we’re trying to find

  • A Tanzanian with outstanding academic credentials, including a postgraduate diploma in education, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from an accredited university in East Africa. You need to have studied advanced physics and mathematics.
  • Three (3) years minimum of experience teaching Advanced Level students at NACTVET-accredited institutions after receiving exceptional training from East African top performing schools or colleges.
  • Competent to instruct students up to the form six level in computer science, information, and computer studies, information communication technology. It will be beneficial to be able to teach a science topic in secondary school, such as physics or additional/basic applied mathematics.
  • Strong ability to use contemporary teaching techniques and tactics that promote a competency-based approach to learning and testing to present NECTA program content.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both written and oral, in the English language of teaching.
  • A well-rounded, self-reliant, and mature person with a wide range of educational knowledge who upholds teaching ethics and uses a novel approach to the classroom.
  • A teacher who exudes enthusiasm, diligence, and motivation for our pupils.
  • Someone who can adjust to the many policies and procedures of our school, including working on the weekends when necessary.

Position Title: Assistant Team Lead Higher Education

Our goal at our Higher Education Department is to make sure that every sponsored scholar has the tools and assistance they need to succeed academically and reach their objectives. You will be instrumental in assisting and mentoring scholars toward academic success and graduation in your capacity as an Assistant Team Lead for Higher Education.

Who are you?

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of motivation who supports high-quality education for everybody.
  • A critical thinker.
  • Cooperative and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders, including parents, community service providers, parents of college students, colleges, and governmental organizations.
  • Strong multitasking and attention to detail.

What actions will you take?

  • Academic Achievement of students: 90% success rate is the goal while mentoring students to obtain a GPA of 3 and above. Scholars who fall short of academic standards should receive assistance and interventions.
  • Ensuring that 95% of scholars graduate from university successfully each year will help them on their path to future success and graduation.
  • Retention of Scholars: Preserve a retention rate of over 95% for scholars, recognizing and resolving any problems that may result in program termination.
  • Use of Scholarship money: Keep an eye on and make sure that scholarship money are used wisely for educational costs in order to optimize the influence on scholars’ academic endeavors.
  • Community Partnerships: To increase support for our scholarship program, form and maintain relationships with various groups. Report to the BSJ-SP Team Lead on important partnerships on a regular basis.
  • Current Knowledge on Postsecondary Education Stay up to date with rules and developments in higher education, giving scholars timely and reliable information to help them plan their academic journeys.
  • Success of the Alternative Pathway Program: Work together with the Careers and Community Service teams to help students enrolled in the Alternative Pathway Program succeed by helping them match program objectives with their passions and aspirations.

What we’re trying to find

  • An appropriate bachelor’s degree.
  • Five (5) years of minimum experience in mentoring or educational leadership positions.
  • Strong familiarity with Tanzania’s higher education systems, including TCU, NACTE, and HESLB regulations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to create and preserve alliances with stakeholders.
  • Ardor for encouraging educational justice and empowering scholars.

  • Capable of instructing students in academic communications (English) and history up to form six.
  • Excellent ability to implement contemporary teaching techniques and tactics that promote a competency-based approach to learning and assessments in order to provide NECTA program content.
