The PSRS (Public Service recruitment Secretariat) Vacancies is a government organization with the status of an independent Department that was established primarily to streamline the recruiting process for workers in the Public Service. The organ was constituted by the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002, as amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, Section 29(1). Our vision is to be the region’s centre of excellence in public service.

Our aim (mission) is to recruit public servants using modern ways while adhering to the ideals of equity, transparency, and merit, as well as to advise employers on employment-related issues. Human resources are an important factor in public service delivery; thus, PSRS has been tasked with recruiting public servants in a fair, transparent, and timely manner, while ensuring quality and access to all applicants in order to provide equitable service in Tanzania. Our goal is to improve government public service on issues related to the recruitment process in accordance with our laws and regulations, while also enhancing excellent relations with our stakeholders. The organ is an equal opportunity employer.
