The SECUREX Security and Alarm Company (T) Ltd. is a major security guard service provider that provides unarmed and armed security agents, mobile patrol services, and security equipment to residences, commercial buildings, government buildings, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). SECUREX Security and Alarm Company (T) Ltd. began operations in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 2010. Dedicated to creating and delivering customized security guard programs for each customer. The Purpose of the Position:

To support the finance department, head of accounts, and management by executing the company’s normal accounting tasks.

 

The Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor of commerce in accounting and other relevant subjects.
  • Three (3) years of experience in finance and taxation.
  • Not more than 45 years old.
  • The ability to write and speak English.
  • A computer literacy. (Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, for example).
  • A strong background in information technology will be advantageous.
  • Effective communication abilities.

 

The Job Description:

  • Create/ prepare and review payroll, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting guidelines.
  • To register new employees for NSSF benefits. And Prepare the monthly TRA, NSSF, WCF, and other required returns.
  • To ensure that accounts and financial data are accurate and full, and keep track of creditors and debtors.
  • To calculate provisional tax and update as needed, manage financial files, and assist with audits.
  • Maintain accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
  • Conduct a financial analysis of the company’s activities to help influence decisions.
  • Create, maintain, and evaluate budgets, as well as provide quarterly management reports comparing budgeted expenses to actual costs and variations.
  • On a monthly basis, analyze chargeable and non-chargeable time in the company.
  • Update the accounts receivable and payable lists, as well as conduct age studies of debtors and creditors.
  • To compute all applicable taxes, prepare and file tax returns, and ensure compliance with all statutory authorities.
  • To compute, pay, and submit any required statutory returns.
