The Job Summary:
We are currently searching for a highly trained accountant with good stock control, tax compliance, and statutory understanding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be in charge of monitoring financial records, inventory, and ensuring that tax regulations and statutory compliance needs are met.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Accounting and Financial Management:
- Keep correct financial records and reconcile balances.
- Compile financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- To manage payables, receivables, and payroll procedures.
Stock and Inventory Control:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory management.
- Track stock movements, acquisitions, and reconciliations.
- To implement internal controls to prevent stock loss.
Tax Compliance and Statutory Requirements:
- Maintain timely reporting of VAT, corporation tax, payroll taxes, and other statutory responsibilities.
- To keep up to current on tax rules and regulations.
- To liaise with tax authorities and auditors regarding statutory audits and tax issues.
- To perform any other duties assigned by management.
The Knowledge and experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the same role as an accountant.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, commerce, business administration, or another business-related field.
- The Professional credentials (CPA, ACCA, or similar) provide an added edge.
- An Accounting, inventory management, and tax rules are all relevant.
- The Computer Literate: ERP Systems, Windows, and Microsoft Applications.
- A strong interpersonal skills.
- An excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Able to work alone.
- Performance focused.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A highly levels of responsibility, accountability, and integrity.
- A team player.
- A strong commercial acumen for issue resolution.
- Proven ability to manage personal work and scheduling.
- The task is deadline-oriented.
- The ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, at all levels.
- The ability to keep confidential information.
