Unite Food Program (UFP)
The Unite Food Program (UFP) is a social enterprise owned and operated primarily by Tanzanian women. Its mission is to provide poor small-scale farmers with a secure market for their crops and fair market prices, as well as healthy, tasty, and affordable staple food options to all Tanzanians. The enterprise’s goal is to empower small-scale farmers by providing them with a secure market for their crops at an above-market price, as well as high-quality storage bags (AgroZ® Bags) to store their crops in order to provide food for their families and serve as a “bank” for future needs and emergencies; and trainings in agribusiness optimization techniques and approaches.
The UFP is now pushing for the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 of “Zero Hunger” since the work it performs aims to end hunger, ensure food security and nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.

The Job responsibilities:
- The data entry involves accurately recording all accounting transactions.
- The Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements specific to maize flour production.
- Cost accounting involves monitoring and analyzing production costs, such as raw materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure profitability and efficiency in the maize flour production process.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Assist with the creation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing information on expected costs and revenues associated with maize flour production.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels of raw materials and final goods, guaranteeing accurate reporting and effective management of stock connected to maize flour.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax requirements, including VAT returns and other associated files, specific to the food production industry.
- Audit Coordination: Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions and maize flour production activities.
- Reconciliation includes banking and receivables reconciliation.
The Job Requirements:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related subject.
