The Job Summary:

The ideal applicant will be in charge of keeping financial records accurate and in line with accounting standards and regulatory obligations. This position necessitates a thorough understanding of financial principles, analytical skills, and the ability to work successfully across departments.

 

The key responsibilities:

  • Accept all inbound materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
  • To track, document, and rectify any differences in received orders.
  • To manage and regulate cost centers throughout the facility.
  • To update and keep correct inventory records, such as physical inventory, receipts, revisions, and returns.
  • To ensure ideal stock levels by keeping supply within predetermined limits.
  • To handle petty cash and keep correct records of all expenditures.
  • Keep orderly records of sales, purchases, spending, and compliance paperwork.
  • Maintain current records of all stockroom transactions.
  • To assist with timely budget preparation in accordance with facility activity.
  • To maintain correct supplier data and establish professional relationships.
  • To monitor independent sales points (bar, restaurant, and rooms) to verify accurate reporting.
  • Create and file payroll, VAT, and statutory payments such as PAYE, SDL, WCF, and NSSF, as well as corporate and withholding taxes.

 

 

Job Qualifications & Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline.
  • At least one to three years of accounting expertise is preferred.
  • A proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as Quickbooks, SAP, or a similar tally software).
  • A strong attention to detail and excellent organizing abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
