JOB DIMENSIONS AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
- Accounts Payable is situated in Dar es Salaam.
- Every month, we get around 900 invoices and cost claims.
- The EACOP Ltd is a UK-based company with a permanent presence in Tanzania. It has four shareholders: TotalEnergies, UNOC, TPDC, and UNOC. It is to build and operate a 1442-kilometer oil pipeline from Hoima (UG) to Tanga (TZ).
The Duties and Responsibilities.
- To receive invoices from vendors, ensure they fulfill standards, post the receipt, and submit for approval.
- Follow up with the Tax team on the VAT relief utilization procedure.
- Make liaise with other departments, cost controllers, and the Contract & Procurement department to approve invoices, create/release purchase orders and call offs, and produce goods/service receipts; resolve difficulties.
- Coordinate and respond to vendor and internal queries.
- To reconcile monthly supplier statements, spot discrepancies, and make changes as needed.
- To assist the Chief Accountant with external audits (statutory and financial, fiscal, shareholder, and national authority).

THE ACCOUNTABILITIES.
- A timely processing and uploading of vendor invoices for payment.
- Make follow-up on vendor accounts.
THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES.
Academic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with ACCA Level 2.
- Understanding/ knowledge of Workday or a similar ERP system, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
The experience required:
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an accounting department.
The abilities:
- The organizational, teamwork (team spirit), and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent English skills (both spoken and written).
