The program’s objective is to raise Tanzania’s pre-primary and primary school standards. This results in knowledge and evidence about how to achieve these outcomes at scale and at a reasonable cost.
- Provides technical support and capacity building to GoT to help with the timely and efficient implementation of the PforR mechanism, with a particular emphasis on data verification, financial management, and risk management. Encourage the PforR lesson-learning processes so that they can be shared with development partners and other important stakeholders and incorporated into government procedures. Make sure the PfR mechanism is informed by the best practices and lessons learned from (1).
- Oversees and plans program activities, putting special emphasis on (i) making sure the program is of the highest caliber and providing oversight for finances and risk management; (ii) collaborating with an independent provider of Learning and Evidence (L&E) to establish regular, stringent, and community-driven monitoring and evaluation activities; and (iii) creating and putting into practice a plan for effectively communicating Shule Bora’s goals, outcomes, and lessons learned to a variety of target audiences.
