Summary of Work:
In charge of making sure the financial reporting procedures are carried out in compliance with the group’s and local accounting standards, financial control policies, and legal obligations.
Job Summary:
Principal responsibilities and approximate time division.
- Participate in the month-end closure process and help to ensure that all financial reports are accurate and trustworthy so that all parties involved in finance may use them.
- Assume responsibility for and custody of all month-end journals that are processed within a specific month. Every journal processed by Analyst, SAP, and brains.
- Maintain GL, Cost Center, and MGC codes and make sure they are always accessible for business purposes. This involves launching, altering, and shutting the bank’s cost centers, general ledger, and MGC codes in SAP and SRM in addition to the brains.
- Oversee the ETA procedure, make sure that the system is locked for all intergroup recharge receivables and payables, and monitor the payment procedure.
- Help and collaborate closely with the accounts payable team and financial reporting manager to guarantee accurate cost reporting by scrutinizing costs on a weekly basis and raising concerns with the team.
- Help the manager of financial reporting with the monthly account ownership and reconciliation process. Ensure that the general ledger of every bank is reconciled and that the consigno FD attestation is completed.
- Help the manager of financial reporting to operate the MDM engine and update the mappings on a daily basis.
- Help the manager in charge of financial reporting to do the monthly Brains to SAP reconciliation.
- Help/take part in the regular audits conducted by external, BIA, and compliance auditors.
- Take part in finance-related gatherings, like BSRC, and discuss the topics brought up there.
- Carry out any additional tasks that the director of finance or financial control assigns you.

- Expertise in accounting.
- Strong familiarity with the reporting guidelines of the Bank of Tanzania.

Understanding, Proficiency, and Experience:
- Accounting bachelor’s degree (BCom Accounting, BAF, etc.).

Education:
