The Job Summary:
As an Assistant Manager – Reservations, you will work alongside the Reservations Manager to monitor the hotel’s reservation system, manage room availability, and ensure that guests’ booking needs are satisfied quickly.
The key responsibilities:
- Reservation Management: Analyze reservation system data on a regular basis to gain insight into booking trends, peak hours, and guest preferences.
- Visitor communication: Handle and resolve any reservation-related concerns to ensure visitor satisfaction.
- Reporting and analysis: Generate frequent reports on reservation, occupancy, revenue, and guest trends.
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of reservation officers to guarantee that customers receive excellent service.
- Cross-departmental coordination: Collaborate with the front desk, cleaning, and sales staff to ensure that guest arrivals, room availability, and special requests are all seamlessly coordinated.
- Comply with hotel policies, processes, and industry standards regarding reservations and guest data privacy.
The Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or another similar discipline is preferred.
- A proven experience in a hotel reservations or front desk function, preferably 2-4 years in a similar capacity.
- The experience in leadership or supervisory roles, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team.
- A problem-solving skills required to handle last-minute adjustments, cancellations, and booking complications.
- Interacting with guests, personnel, and other departments requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The knowledge of the ResRequest System is a bonus.
