The Job Summary:

As an Assistant Manager – Reservations, you will work alongside the Reservations Manager to monitor the hotel’s reservation system, manage room availability, and ensure that guests’ booking needs are satisfied quickly.

 

The key responsibilities:

  • Reservation Management: Analyze reservation system data on a regular basis to gain insight into booking trends, peak hours, and guest preferences.
  • Visitor communication: Handle and resolve any reservation-related concerns to ensure visitor satisfaction.
  • Reporting and analysis: Generate frequent reports on reservation, occupancy, revenue, and guest trends.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of reservation officers to guarantee that customers receive excellent service.
  • Cross-departmental coordination: Collaborate with the front desk, cleaning, and sales staff to ensure that guest arrivals, room availability, and special requests are all seamlessly coordinated.
  • Comply with hotel policies, processes, and industry standards regarding reservations and guest data privacy.

 

 

The Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or another similar discipline is preferred.
  • A proven experience in a hotel reservations or front desk function, preferably 2-4 years in a similar capacity.
  • The experience in leadership or supervisory roles, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team.
  • A problem-solving skills required to handle last-minute adjustments, cancellations, and booking complications.
  • Interacting with guests, personnel, and other departments requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The knowledge of the ResRequest System is a bonus.
