Job Title: Branch Manager

The DCB Commercial Bank PLC is Tanzania’s full-fledged retail and commercial bank. Individuals, microfinance, small to medium-sized businesses (MSME), and major corporate clients can all use the bank’s services. DCB Bank has over 8 branches, 1000 DCB Wakala Agents, and 280 Umoja switch ATMs that serve over 3 million consumers around the country. We are seeking suitable applicants to fill the post of Branch Manager. The successful candidate will be in charge of managing the branch’s overall budget while adhering to approved limitations.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Creating a workplace banking sales plan and process that is fully accountable and responsible for execution in accordance with the delivery of a retail or personal banking balance sheet and income statement.
  • To grow a quality asset portfolio and liabilities by retaining existing customers and acquiring new ones.
  • To lead, developing, and managing the branch to ensure that the business objectives are met, with a focus on revenue creation through increased non-funded and non-interest income, as well as interest collection.
  • To develop a branch plan that includes lead/sales prospect management and overall customer experience, as well as establishing DCB Bank as a provider of high-quality customer solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial and Chief Operating Officer to reduce costs through effective resource management within the branch while increasing productivity and fostering a customer-centric mindset.
  • To build and maintaining positive business relationships with clients (including HNW and PEP) at all levels of the hierarchy, as well as other critical stakeholders.
  • To manage the implementation of all processes and procedures outlined in the branch operating manuals.
  • Raising team awareness, staying up to date, and maintaining compliance with all applicable BoT, CMSA, TRA, DSE, and ELRA laws.
  • The effectively manage your team’s performance in accordance with the bank’s strategy and policies.

 

The Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; or Bachelor’s degree in any field and a Master’s degree in business administration.
  • The 5 (five) years of experience in the banking industry or operations.
  • Good understanding of banking and back-office branch operations.
  • The excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proven experience in driving performance.
  • A strong market selling and credit research skills, as well as a successful track record of developing and sustaining business relationships and networks.
