Role:
Purpose:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring marketing programs and campaigns to support Watu Tanzania’s brand and communication objectives. This position will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate the implementation of creative marketing strategies for all Tanzanian products.

The Role Description:
The KPI Guidelines:
- To manage the Watu brand in Tanzania to guarantee that the company’s strategic goals are met through the brand.
- To develop and implement effective public relations and marketing strategies and campaigns to promote or strengthen the Watu brand in Tanzania.
- To coordinate the project management process for all brand and marketing-related projects to ensure proactive management, quality standards, and timeliness are met.
- To develop and manage media interactions with all stakeholders to ensure favorable coverage and consistent messaging across the board.
- To coordinate production projects to ensure that they are completed on schedule, under budget, and of high quality.
- Create and manage a database of media and blogger connections, guaranteeing prompt response to requests in accordance with agreed-upon SLAs.
- The strategic relationship management entails identifying and working with various partners and stakeholders in marketing and branding efforts.
- To collaborate with internal teams, including brand and executive leadership, to connect PR and marketing initiatives with broader business goals.
- To create and drive brand immersion among firm employees.
- To define and report on critical indicators for public relations campaigns, media coverage, and other digital platforms in order to assess the performance of PR strategies.
- To manage all agencies in accordance with the Watu portfolio to guarantee that the business benefits from timely and high-quality service. This will entail tracking deliverables, managing issues and complaints, and so on.
- The analysis of brand reports. Share media monitoring reports that include crucial insights with relevant markets. Assess the impact of brand initiatives using both qualitative and quantitative measures.
- To collaborate with the Finance Department to provide brand expenditure reports that emphasize cost-effectiveness and ROI.
- To oversee production requests with the procurement team to ensure timely execution. Obtain pre-production samples for approval, ensure that specifications are followed, and address any quality concerns or delays.
- To participate in mid-year performance reviews, annual performance appraisals, and monthly one-on-one meetings as part of the Watu performance management cycle.
- To perform any other duties as directed by management.
- The approved public relations plans and initiatives with demonstrated implementation and influence on the Watu brand.
- The feedback from the business on the quality of collaboration/support.
- In Tanzania, media coverage has improved by 100% across all relevant media outlets.
- The level of consistency in messaging across all media outlets and countries.
- Successfully implemented approved communication plans and met SLAs.
- Improved public relations approach by leveraging trend information.
- The submission of high-quality trend reports, with a link to the business’s leverage.
- Quality reporting is timely in accordance with brand reporting requirements and criteria.
- The achievement of SLAs with the agency.

The Brand Manager shall be:
- Directly responsible to the Deputy Country Manager Commercial and reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications.
- Needed to work and collaborate with a variety of cross-functional teams.

The Education & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication, or a similar discipline from a recognized college.
- At least 8 years of experience in marketing, project management, or a similar job.
- Familiar with the Tanzanian market.
The Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- The excellent organizing and planning skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- The effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Docs and facilities management software.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Expertise in marketing software and tools (such as Google Analytics, social media management platforms, and email marketing software).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and technologies, as well as copywriting skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
- Capable of thinking creatively and solving problems.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organization abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
