Work Arrangement: A mix of remote and in-office work depending on the department’s operational requirements and Right To Play’s work arrangement.
Appropriate to work in: Any of the aforementioned nations (capable of lawful employment without a visa or work permit sponsorship).
Target Hiring Range: Grade 7 local compensation scale is in effect. During the hiring process, candidates will be informed of the salary range and benefits.
Date of Target Start: Whenever possible.
Contract Duration: A long-term, full-time commitment.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:
As the Business Analyst for Country Offices, you will be assisting the Vice President, Country Offices (VPCO) in supporting our 14 Country Offices (Burundi, Canada, Ethiopia, Ghana, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Pakistan, the Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda) by integrating and synthesizing information from various Right To Play (RTP) units.
In order to strengthen Country Offices, you will be crucial in providing information to decision-makers based on opportunities and problem areas. You will collaborate with various RTP units at the national and international support levels to create the operational and strategic synthesis of the Country Office in order to promote program excellence and RTP profiling at the national level. As the lead, you will be in charge of compiling data from national offices for quarterly reviews, annual planning, and other necessary periodic updates. You will provide the VPCO, Global Director, Country Offices, and Country Directors with insights for their specific actions and seamlessly integrate these plans with the larger strategy framework.
Travel to other operational nations will occasionally be necessary for this function.
ACTIONS YOU WILL TAKE:
First: Plan (30% of Time):
- Oversees the process of examining and compiling the annual (implementation) plans for the country offices in accordance with their national strategic plans. This includes determining the necessary resource allocation requirements and support areas.
- Helps with the GDCO, Finance team’s budget assessment and monitoring of the Country Offices’ budgets, as well as the HQ budgeting planning process for the Country Offices portfolio.
- Helps with the tracking of the Performance Agreement and Annual Implementation Plan for the Country Office.
- Participates in strategic initiatives that promote the development of Country Offices and tackle new challenges (such localization and transformative partnerships) from the Annual (Implementation) Plans of the Country Offices.
- Collaborates closely on the mid-point review of the country strategic plans, which feeds into the mid-point review of the global strategy, with the VPCO and the Director of Strategy.
- Creates strategic content ahead of important internal and external gatherings.
- Creates briefs for strategic partners involved in national, regional, and international partnerships.
- This includes outlining important engagement opportunities at the national, regional, and international levels.
- Organizes follow-up with Country Offices and other consultancies/short-term assignments linked to the RTP global agenda.
#2: Reporting from the Country Office (30% of Time):
- Oversees the gathering and combining of planned reports from several RTP departments on Country Offices, such as Finance, Audit, Fundraising, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), and Partnership, in order to prepare quarterly reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Analyzes monthly information from the Country Office to determine the most important support needs.
- Keeps an eye on the Country Office Action Plans in accordance with the support requirements and priority issues determined by the reporting.
- Arranges the recurring country office meetings that center on the KPI assessment.
- Compiles and synthesizes the individual country learning review reports to create the yearly Country Office Learning Review Report.
- Assembles relevant reporting graphics and data on Country Offices to provide important materials for board meetings (International Board of Directors, Programme Committee, Executive Team).
#3: Building the Capacity of the Country Office (20% of Time):
- Helps country directors and the senior management team develop their skills to prepare and handle information effectively for national decision-making.
- Creates and encourages a culture of data-driven decision making, making sure teams have the tools and resources they need to use various information platforms to carry out productive tasks.
- Oversees interns when they are sent to help and advise national offices.
#4: Knowledge Management (Fifteen Percent):
- Promotes the exchange of knowledge and skills between national teams and international departments/units.
- Ensure that staff members are aware of the goals and procedures of knowledge management by establishing criteria for efficiently gathering, organizing, and sharing knowledge.
- Make sure the appropriate individuals share and utilize pertinent knowledge and information.
- Assistance in gathering and recording fresh data, industry best practices, and lessons discovered.
- Evaluate the success of knowledge-sharing programs and procedures and, if necessary, provide recommendations for changes.
#5: Completes Additional Tasks as Assigned (5% of Total Time):
ESSENTIAL ITEMS YOU WILL BRING:
RESEARCH, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATION:
- A bachelor’s degree in project management, business, public administration, international development, or a similar discipline; or comparable professional experience.
SKILLS:
- Five years of relevant experience working in the field of international development.
- Experience driving and supporting strategic interests by identifying opportunities to enhance and build efficiency as a change agent.
- Expertise as an advocate for ongoing development within the company, institutionalizing learning, creativity, success, and assistance.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Demonstrates a high degree of interpersonal and cross-cultural competence, as well as the capacity to form both internal and external collaborative partnerships.
- Highly developed verbal and writing communication abilities, as well as a track record of successfully interacting with more senior colleagues.
- Meticulous attention to detail, a very well-organized work style, and the ability to advance several projects and activities at once.
- Strategic thinker with a creative approach to solving issues.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:
- Proficiency in creating reports and aptitude in condensing and combining data.
- Aptitude for analysis, capacity to work with sizable data sets, and related knowledge.
- Strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, as well as technical know-how using programs like Office 365 and PowerBI to mobilize organizational data to support strategic initiatives.
- The capacity to distill knowledge and data into key insights for senior executives.
KNOWLEDGE SPECIFIC TO A SECTOR:
- Knowledge of the internal and external environments related to INGOs and international development.
LANGUAGES:
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
