Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job location: Dar es Salaam

Answers to (Reports to): Senior Manager, Business Development & Administration

 

Job Scope:

The business development manager is in charge of fostering customer relationships and strategic alliances to propel corporate growth. Creating and managing a new business pipeline, assisting with business development initiatives, handling client interactions, charting the business community, sharing content, and organizing networking events are all part of this job.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

Pipeline Sourcing.

  • Create and manage a new business pipeline that is in line with the goals and strategy of business development.
  • Source possibilities are available in the public, private, and development sectors.
  • Give management regular updates and comments.

 

Business Development Support.

  • Carry out and stimulate the development initiatives of business units.
  • Determine the major influencers in the target industries and arrange meetings with them.

 

Relationship Management.

  • Use your professional and personal connections to manage both current and potential clients.
  • Answer questions from clients in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Client and Marketing Mapping.

  • Map the business community continuously.
  • Keeping up with the business units’ strategies, keep an extensive database of clients—both suspects and potential.

 

Content Dissemination.

  • Oversee the distribution of ASIGMA’s downloadable content to current and future business prospects.
  • Make contact with prospective customers to build rapport and generate prospects for presentations to targeted enterprises, institutions, and organizations.

 

Networking and Events Coordination

  • Help with the planning of networking events, including client gatherings, industry forums, and select conferences.
  • On behalf of the business, keep an events calendar up to date.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A recent graduate with a stellar undergraduate record. Having a master’s degree might be beneficial.
  • Experience in business growth from Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Business to Customer (B2B2C) perspectives.
  • More than 7 years of demonstrated expertise in customer acquisition, retention, and relationship management.
  • Solid current connections in the governmental, private, and development sectors.
  • Outstanding public speaking and communication abilities for promoting ASIGMA’s service offerings.
  • Extremely creative and analytical problem solver with a proactive, can-do mindset.
  • Three years or more of experience in a comparable position.
  • Good report writing abilities that are flexible for different audiences; proof of these abilities is a bonus.
  • Capacity to function autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with little guidance.
  • High precision and attention to detail.
  • Keen to learn new things and open to criticism.
  • Capacity to professionally handle extremely private information.
  • Even while under pressure, keep your composure.
  • A strong sense of devotion to teamwork and high energy level.
