Bank of Tanzania (BOT)
The Bank of Tanzania, the central bank of the United Republic of Tanzania, was created under the Bank of Tanzania Act of 1965 and began operations on June 14, 1966. The enabling legislation has been changed numerous times, culminating in the Bank of Tanzania Acts of 1978 and 1995, as well as the current governing legislation, the Bank of Tanzania Act of 2006.
Tanzania’s monetary history prior to the Bank of Tanzania’s establishment can be divided into two periods: the period preceding the formation of the East African Currency Board (EACB) in December 1919, and the period that followed until the Bank of Tanzania’s establishment in June 1966.
The Bank of Tanzania (BOT) invites the applicants listed below to take aptitude tests at the Bank of Tanzania Sub Head Office in Dar es Salaam and the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) on the dates specified for each position.
