The key responsibilities:

The Strategy.

  • To participate successfully in all operational and service-related elements to help the firm accomplish its planned objectives and so transition from turnaround to transformation.

 

The Business.

  • To reach target targets, work closely with business stakeholders (RM, business heads, service team, and clients).
  • Complete fairly sophisticated cash operations duties.
  • To improve processes by implementing new ways of working, such as the agile technique, so that we can provide our clients with world-class products and services.

 

 

The Processes.

  • To be responsible for the execution of CMO activities by ensuring that customer instructions are processed quickly and accurately in accordance with established processes and procedures so that the bank does not lose money, thereby increasing the bank’s profitability, reputation, and quality customer service.

 

 

The Risk management.

  • Mitigate/manage and reduce risks in accordance with the bank’s risk framework criteria.
  • When making business decisions, assess risk appropriately, paying special attention to the firm’s reputation and protecting the bank, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, exercising sound ethical judgment in personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

 

 

The Governance.

  • Make sure proper governance control for all Cash management operational products.
  • Be responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of the Group’s structures to provide effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business, as well as overseeing modifications in these areas as needed.
  • An awareness and knowledge (understanding) of the regulatory framework under which the Group operates, as well as the regulatory needs and expectations of international and local regulatory organizations.

 

 

The Regulatory and Business Conduct.

  • Exhibit excellent behavior and abide by the Group’s values and code of conduct.
  • Accept personal responsibility for implementing the highest ethical standards, including regulatory and corporate conduct, throughout Standard Chartered Bank. This involves studying and ensuring that all applicable laws, rules, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct are followed in both text and spirit.
  • To lead to achieving the results outlined in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair results for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; and The Right Environment].
  • The effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, behavior, and compliance issues.

 

 

The key stakeholders.

  • The internal Business Unit Heads, RM, Client Service Managers, Transactional Banking Team GBS, IT Team, and PSS Technical Support.
  • The external clients, regulators (such as the Central Bank of Tanzania and the Tanzania Revenue Authority), and stakeholders from other financial institutions.

 

 

Additional (Other) responsibilities.

  • To manage outsourced vendor contracts (both intragroup and external vendors).
  • To participate in numerous technical initiatives, including regulatory projects involving cash management solutions.
