Job Title: Cash Officer

Job location: Nyerere Branch, Dar es Salaam

THE JOB OBJECTIVES.

  • Disburse cash and supervise tellers.
  • Cash and ATM reconciliation is done properly on a daily and monthly basis.

 

 

 

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that customers are efficiently attended to and served within the allotted time.
  • Make sure that policies and procedures are followed.
  • To ensure that tellers perform their jobs accurately and promptly.
  • Make sure that GL accounts are in proof.
  • Maintain efficient COP balance.
  • Maintain vigilance to avoid fraud.
  • Carry out/ perform any additional duties assigned by the CSM.

 

 

 

THE KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • The error rate in transactions.
  • To turnaround time for serving customers.
  • The customer Delivery Service Index.
  • Make sure that the tellers, ATM, and vault are accurately balanced on a daily basis.

 

 

 

THE MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A BSc. Degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline with a second-class or higher ranking.

 

 

 

THE PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A proven work experience as a Head Teller/Cash Officer or related capacity with minimum of 3 years in banking.

 

THE COMPETENCY:

  • Excellent understanding of cash management techniques and financial markets.
  • The experience with financial and banking platforms.
  • The excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • The excellent organizational and strategic planning capabilities.
