We are seeking a motivated, accomplished civil engineer with extensive industrial experience.
Accountabilities:
- To properly plan projects, he or she examines data from sources like maps, long-range plans, and survey reports.
- Preparing for every phase of a project and analyzing its risks.
- A civil engineer’s job will involve taking government rules, construction costs, potential environmental risks, and other relevant considerations into account.
- In addition to gathering and submitting permission applications to the appropriate government authorities, such as the local, state, and federal governments, he or she will make sure that projects comply with the various requirements.
- In order to ensure that the soil is suitable for the structure to be built on and that the foundation has the necessary strength to support the structure, civil engineers are also responsible for organizing the soil testing procedure.
- Testing steel, concrete, asphalt, and other building materials to be used on a project to make sure they meet standards and requirements is another one of his or her responsibilities.
- In addition, he or she calculates the project’s expected cost of production, which takes into account labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- A civil engineer’s job description also includes using design tools to plan and create hydraulic and transportation systems, as well as structures that adhere to industry and governmental requirements.
- In a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner, manage, design, develop, implement, and maintain small- to large-scale construction projects.
- Investigate on the spot and examine data (such as maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other materials).
- Conduct feasibility and technical investigations and create designs that meet technical requirements.
- Evaluate the materials, costs, and potential dangers.
- Give guidance and find innovative solutions for any new issues or shortcomings.
- Manage employees, provide them with guidance, and communicate with other parties.
- Take care of the services and structures that emerge for usage.
- Track developments and create project status reports.
- Budget wisely and buy supplies and equipment.
- Observe all rules and laws pertaining to safety, permits, and other matters, and provide technical files and other documents as needed.
Qualifications and abilities:
- A bachelor’s in civil engineering, or its equivalent.
- A qualified engineer with an Engineering Registration Board (ERB) registration.
- Ten years of experience building infrastructure.
- A track record of successful civil engineering work.
- Outstanding familiarity with design and visualization programs like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and others.
- Expertise in grading, erosion management, utility design, site planning, and regulatory approvals, among other areas.
- Supervisory and project management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Professional engineer license.
- A bachelor’s in civil engineering, or its equivalent.
