The Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and experienced Credit Manager to join our team. The ideal applicant will be in charge of overseeing credit evaluation, approval, and monitoring processes to ensure solid lending practices and low risk exposure for the organization.

The Credit Manager is responsible for ensuring portfolio quality and supporting the company’s growth ambitions.

 

 

The key responsibilities:

  • To assess and approve loan applications while adhering to corporate credit regulations and procedures.
  • To conduct regular credit risk assessments and portfolio reviews to reduce defaults.
  • To collaborate with the Arrears Manager to implement efficient debt recovery tactics.
  • Create and implement credit policy and processes.
  • To provide leadership in credit risk management by training and coaching employees.
  • To ensure timely reporting and analysis of credit-related metrics for senior management.
  • Keep up with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

 

 

The Qualifications & Experience:

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of credit management experience, preferably in microfinance or banking.
  • A thorough understanding of credit risk management and lending operations.
  • Excellent analytical, communicative, and leadership abilities.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
