Akiba Commercial Bank (ACB)
Currently, Akiba Commercial Bank (ACB) is looking for 85 competent applicants to fill the role of Direct Sales Executive.
Background:
More than 300 Tanzanian businesspeople took the initiative to launch Akiba Commercial Bank Plc in August 1997, motivated to enter the microfinance industry by their moral and financial concern for the fate of millions of Tanzanians.
These founding members were united by their firm belief that Akiba Commercial Bank Plc would provide them with the means to connect with and improve the lives of those who were previously unbanked and lacking in commercial skills across the nation. The primary objective of the bank was to facilitate the establishment of new enterprises in Tanzania by offering financial services at all levels. As a Tanzanian-owned commercial bank, it was dedicated to serving the people it aspired to serve. This was its founding members’ original, steadfast, and deeply held goal.
Small and medium-sized business owners, enterprises, and community banks were Akiba’s primary target audiences. Since Tanzania has one of the largest concentrations of banks in Africa, Akiba has effectively established itself as a major player in the country’s banking industry by expanding its services beyond Dar es Salaam. Additionally, by expanding its reach, Akiba is now able to offer financial services to a wide range of clients, including private enterprises, families with several members, homeowners, and company owners.
Currently, Akiba Commercial Bank Plc has 17 branch sites in Tanzania where it offers banking services. The National Bank of Malawi, a strategic investor and partner, recently provided the bank with a sizeable cash infusion.
