The key responsibilities:

Drive all WVT Project cars as planned.

- Safe arrival of passengers and products. The vehicle arrives safely and on time at its destination. Drive safely to avoid causing accidents with other road users.
To ensure that the vehicle’s overall condition is routinely and timely examined (before and after use).

- Vehicle is timely serviced. Well-maintained car. The vehicle was thoroughly cleaned. Ensure that the vehicle is constantly in good operating condition. The vehicle will be roadworthy.
Provide clerical services.

- Provide timely support to all project staff as legally planned. Support the efficient and timely dispatch and delivery of papers between WVT and other parties. Payloads arrive on time.
To Maintain Logbooks.

- All miles logged should be legally allowed. Mileage is recorded in the logbook every time the car is refueled. There will be a proper record of mileage covered vs gasoline utilized. Mileage will be properly recorded for routine service.
To ensure that all vehicle-related documentation are valid and carefully stored, including insurance, road safety stickers, the availability of a tool kit, triangles, reflectors, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.

- The timely replacement of vehicle-identified kits when they expire (including first aid, fire extinguishers, etc.) There will be proper adherence to traffic rules.
Make sure that all guests sign the child protection paperwork as soon as they are picked up.

- Before visitors sign the kid protection form, explain why they are signing it.
To guarantee that the vehicle is not overburdened, whether with people or luggage.

- To extend the life of the tires. Follow the traffic rules and regulations.
To report any negative (adverse) observations about a vehicle to the Senior Transport Officer.

- The car/ vehicle will be roadworthy to lessen the likelihood of an accident.
To remind or advise the Senior Transport Officer about vehicle servicing and repairs.

- To adhere to the planned preventive maintenance. The automobiles will be roadworthy.
To ensure that the vehicles are maintained in accordance with the planned preventive maintenance.

- Passengers and products will arrive safely. The vehicle will always be in roadworthy condition, which will increase its longevity.

- There will be no picking up persons in the vehicle who are not allowed, according to the organization’s policy. There shall be timely parking and authorized departure time of the WVT Project Vehicles unless legal authority is obtained. There will be no overspeeding, which will reduce the number of accidents.

- Drivers will receive easy support for any other legal activities given to them.
THE KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:
The Required professional experience.
- A minimum of three years’ driving experience.
- The safe driving record. Must have a basic understanding of car parts and the ability to identify vehicle-related defects.
- The long-distance driving experience.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Be polite, easygoing, and capable of working with people from all backgrounds and cultures.
- The ability to work after regular business hours to transfer staff/consultants to airports and other venues.
- A strong linguistic skills in Kiswahili and English.
- He/ She must be honest and have the greatest level of honesty.
- Capability to write work-related reports.
The necessary license, registration, and certification.
A valid class C (C1, C2, C3) driver’s license Form Four with NIT or VETA Advanced Driving Certificate.
The Travel and/or work environment requirements.
The work environment: Office-based with regular trips to the field Travel: Domestic travel is required.

- The ability to converse in English and good command of Kiswahili. A positive relationship with other employees.

Location of the job: This position is based in Idumbala AP, Iringa Region, Tanzania.
