Job Title: Driver

BRAC

A career at BRAC International

Award-winning global non-governmental development organization BRAC envisions a society devoid of prejudice and exploitation in which every individual can reach their full potential. BRAC is a pioneer in creating and executing evidence-based, cost-effective programs to support underprivileged and impoverished people in low-income nations, particularly in areas that are prone to conflict and after disasters. It is an organization run by and for the people of the Global South, bringing innovative ideas to social enterprise and development to empower local communities to succeed. Not only is BRAC the largest NGO in the world in terms of personnel and those directly served, but it also consistently ranks as the top NGO globally according to the Geneva-based NGO Advisor, an independent group dedicated to promoting innovation, impact, and governance in the nonprofit sector. For the fifth year in a row, BRAC remained at the top of the list of the top 500 NGOs in 2020.

Sir Fazle Hasan Abed established BRAC in Bangladesh in 1972. Since launching its first program outside of Bangladesh in Afghanistan in 2002, it has expanded to 11 Asian and African nations, reaching millions of people. BRAC employs a broad range of programs and social enterprises in the areas of microfinance, education, health, agriculture, gender, and human rights as part of its holistic approach to development. According to BRAC, every individual has innate potential that may be used to positively impact their own lives, the lives of their families, and the communities in which they live, provided that an environment that is supportive is established and that potential is realized.

Concerning the Program:
Aiming to positively and quantifiably impact 1.2 million adolescent girls and young women as well as 9.5 million people across seven East and West African countries—Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda—the Mastercard Foundation, in collaboration with BRAC International (BI), launched its Project.

Supporting teenage girls and young women (AGYW) who are impoverished is becoming more and more important, and the epidemic has made this even more so. Through this collaboration, communities receive scalable approaches to economic development that support the agency and voice of adolescent girls and women. They can accomplish their goals, make a living that is sustainable, and take up advocacy work.

To fill the following position, BRAC Maendeleo Tanzania is accepting applications from capable, driven, and self-motivated people.
