Job Title: Electrical Engineer with Wireless Technology Expertise
Work location: Dar es Salaam

The Overview:
The ideal applicant will have competence in electrical systems, power management, and troubleshooting, as well as knowledge of wireless networking, RF systems, and ISP infrastructure.
This position demands a hands-on professional capable of designing, installing, and maintaining electrical and wireless network systems.
The key responsibilities:
Electrical System Management:
- To diagnose and address electrical faults in network infrastructure.
- To design, install, and maintain power systems for Internet service providers’ equipment.
Wireless Network Design and Implementation:
- To work with radio frequency systems (RF), antennas, and microwave networks.
- To conduct wireless site surveys to optimize coverage.
- Set up and troubleshoot point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) wireless networks.
ISP Infrastructure Support:
- Help to set up and maintain data centers, base stations, and network nodes.
- To ensure compliance with industry standards for electrical and network installations.
- To collaborate with network engineers to ensure reliable connectivity and power supply.
Project Management and Compliance:
- Plan, scope, design, and implement both internal and external projects.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to deploy and manage projects for a variety of customers.
- To ensure regulatory compliance with electrical and telecommunications standards.
- To keep up with developments in electrical engineering and wireless networking.
The Miscellaneous:
- To stay up to date with industry practices and standard.
- To stay up to date with new and improved technologies.
- To evaluate and advise on improvements across the boar.
- Any other connected or supportive task.
- To ensure that all implementations adhere to international reliability and stability standards.
The Qualifications and Requirements (check where applicable):
- A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Three or more (3+) years of experience in electrical engineering.
- To work in an ISP or telecom environment, gaining expertise of power and network technologies.
- The Certifications in linked technology or regulating standards.
- Practical familiarity with RF, microwave, and wireless networking (Wi-Fi, LTE, etc.) equipment and systems.
- A familiarity with wireless survey tools (both indoor and outdoor).
- A familiarity with electrical survey tools.
- Familiarity with tools for electrical troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with electrical equipment and systems.
- The ability to conduct site surveys and power audits.
- Knowledge/ understanding fiber optics and structured cabling.
- The experience managing a team.
