The AIRD Tanzania Program is looking for suitable national candidates for the positions listed below.
The job description:
Finance and Admin/HR Coordinator – Tanzania Program
Answering to/ Reporting to: Country Program Director.
The Finance and Admin/Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Ensure that the budget(s) are accurately captured in the accounting system to allow for timely budget variance analysis (BVA) for financial management.
- Educating all employees about AIRD HR regulations and procedures.
- Prepare and review personnel documentation for approval.
- Ensure effective management and supervision of the premises.
- To supervise (senior accountant, senior human resource officer).
- Monthly financial management reports (BVA and Funds) are prepared at the conclusion of each month.
- To perform cash counts and presenting cash count certificates (checks and balances).
- To prepare financial reports and annexes for the Country Program Director, as well as alerting to potential financial concerns and future commitments.
- To update the accounting system (QuickBooks/ERP) to reflect subsequent budget adjustments and ensuring all financial records are accurate.
- To monitor pay budget lines and ensuring that statutory deductions are calculated appropriately and paid to the appropriate authorities.
- To make all financial records available for the audit process, allowing auditors to provide an unbiased assessment on the status of AIRD.
- To ensure that accounts payable and receivable are always up to date and accurate, as well as completing end-of-month accounts.
- Ensure quick liquidation of accounts payable.
- To ensure proper budget coding and the identification of budget administrators.
- To facilitate the departure of employees from the organization, including exit interviews and final payments.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CEA) are an added advantage.
- A proven experience in financial management and donor(s) reporting.
- Understanding/ knowledge of relevant laws and Tanzania Revenue Authority rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- The experience working with international non-governmental organizations.
