Concern (about) the role:
You will be part of the Finance Advisory Services (FAS) team, which consists of both local and international consultants. As trusted advisors to organizational leaders, we specialize in financial planning and sustainability. We manage important operations such as corporate budgeting, strategic planning, and financial reporting. Our key goal is to achieve financial sustainability and increase our total impact.
As the Finance and Tax Compliance Lead for Tanzania, you will be an important member of the FAS team, responsible for financial and tax compliance and reporting. Working with teams, you will develop compliance processes, give financial insights, and direct operations. You will be reporting to the Global Finance and Strategy Manager.
The Responsibilities:
To Lead Country Tax Compliance:
- To manage the connection with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and advise on compliance.
- To monitor tax regulations to ensure that our processes are compliant and risk-free.
- Maintain correct and timely tax filings.
To Support Country’s Financial Operations:
- To coordinate communication between external auditors, on-site staff, and finance to ensure timely audits.
- To manage tax communications by providing accurate documents and timely responses.
To Oversee budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- To lead the annual budgeting and five-year projections.
- To collaborate with country leaders to report on Tanzania’s financial performance.
- Help departments align with budget goals and make mission-driven financial decisions.

The Qualifications:
These are the general qualifications that we look for in all roles. For this exact role, you will have:
- Three (3+) or more years of expertise in accounting, consulting, or financial analysis.
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related profession; CPA or ACCA certification.
- The understanding of Tanzanian tax legislation.
- An advanced Excel skills, including the ability to execute complex functions.
- Fluent in both English and Swahili.
