We are looking for a dedicated Finance Manager to join our team and contribute to our aim of creating a healthy working environment.

Hesu Investment Ltd has been approved by the Tanzania Revenue Authority to operate ICD facilities since 2012. Its well-located depot site has 9 acres of paved yard and can store 3800 Twenty Foot equivalent units (TEUS) stacked five high. Our vision is to position ourselves as the premier Container and Transport Logistics provider, and our mission is to continually exceed our clients’ expectations by increasing our quality services. Summary of the Job:

The Financial Management Crew is responsible for handling financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting processes to maintain the organization’s financial health and compliance. The Finance Manager, in particular, will be responsible for ensuring that all financial processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory standards. This work entails overseeing a team of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and financial controllers while ensuring that payments are made on time and to high standards.

 

The Key Responsibilities:

The Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Creating and implementing financial strategies and plans that match with the company’s goals.
  • To conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to inform corporate decisions.

 

 

Management of Budget:

  • Manage financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
  • To track budget deviations and take corrective action as appropriate.
  • To ensure compliance with statutory payments and financial rules.

 

An Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • To oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, and the general ledger.
  • Create accurate and timely financial accounts and reporting.
  • Maintain conformity with both local and international accounting standards.

 

The Cash Flow Management:

  • To manage cash flow and working capital to satisfy operational requirements.
  • Billing processes must be supervised, general ledgers reviewed, and correct financial reports prepared on time.
  • Financial operations are overseen and managed, including accounts receivable, payable, cash flow, and reconciliation.

 

 

Compliance and Audit:

  • To coordinate with external auditors on annual audits.
  • Maintain compliance with local tax legislation and other legislative obligations.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls.

 

The Financial Risk Management:

  • To oversee cash flow management and financial risk evaluation.
  • To monitor market trends and economic indicators to stay ahead of any dangers.
  • To establish appropriate controls in accordance with process.
  • To advise on cost-cutting initiatives to improve compliance and profitability.

 

Team Leadership:

  • To lead and mentor the financial team, offering leadership and creating a collaborative work environment.
  • Create a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
  • To ensure that staff receive adequate training, and that job descriptions are clearly defined and allotted.
  • To collaborate with other departments to provide financial support for strategic objectives and business development.

 

 

The Cost Control and Efficiency in Operations:

  • Keep track of logistical costs, such as transportation, fuel, and warehousing fees.
  • To implement cost-saving initiatives in supply chain activities to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • To analyze and regulate logistics-specific operating costs like truck maintenance and route optimization.

 

 

The Fleet and Asset Management Accounting:

  • To manage the financial aspects of fleet operations, such as vehicle leasing, depreciation, maintenance, and insurance.
  • Maintain accurate asset accounting and timely reporting of fleet-related expenses and investments.

 

The Vendor and supplier management:

  • To oversee and negotiate financial agreements and contracts with important suppliers and logistical providers.
  • To manage vendor payments in a timely and correct manner, ensuring excellent relationships and optimizing cash flow.

 

 

Implementing Technology and Systems:

  • Oversee the financial aspects of fleet management and logistics system implementation and upkeep, making sure the systems support overall business goals and supply reliable data for financial reporting.

Any other duties that the director and general manager assign.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline. A professional credential such as a CPA or CMA, or an MBA, is preferred.
  • 5+ years of verified experience in financial management and transportation, ideally in an ICD or CFS environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and budgeting procedures.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.
