Purpose of the Job:
In order to guarantee that all financial risks are properly managed and that financial reports are generated in a timely and correct manner, the chosen candidate will be in charge of assessing the suitability and efficacy of the financial control environment and governance system.
The Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and grow the teams responsible for finance, operations, risk, tax, and treasury, making sure all standards are fulfilled.
- To guarantee accurate and consistent reporting, see to it that standardized Group reporting policies, outputs, and systems are adopted and implemented.
- Verify the balance sheet’s integrity and accuracy.
- Manage all transactional and advisory handling related to treasury, tax, and major subjective accounting concerns.
- Establish a program to proactively address recognized financial and control deficiencies and work for a continuing reduction in the number of financial accounting, risk, and control concerns that arise each year.
- Lead projects aimed at process optimization and efficiency while consistently identifying ways to improve operational processes, policies, and procedures.
- Assist your team in maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as commercial banks.
- Make IFRS compliance possible. Give the staff the tools they need to advise the finance departments technically on IFRS problems, disclosure items, new accounting rules, and intricate accounting challenges. Oversee and keep an eye on the annual report’s preparation.
- Oversee routine evaluations with the Group Finance team, delivering lucid and thorough synopses of accounting and business-related matters.
- Review and compile business results and supporting analysis for internal and external usage in collaboration with the larger team.
- Take ownership of the financial risk and make sure that adequate controls are in place.
- Verify the efficacy of controls on a regular basis in higher-risk processes, such as supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement.
- Oversee the interaction with external auditors and make sure that all important subjective accounting concerns are aligned.
- Promote UK SOX procedures throughout the nation.
- Make sure that every control evaluation is finished in accordance with the Group’s or the applicable regulations.
- Guarantees the revision and international application of ABC (Anti-bribery and Corruption).
- Make sure that any important control concerns are taken care of by collaborating closely with the Internal Audit team.
Experience and Qualifications for the Position:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting, or a similar field.
- Needs to have an ACCA, CPA (T), or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial management following qualification.
- Five (5) years at least in senior management.
- Five or more years of operational experience in a variety of roles; direct operational experience is helpful.
Terms of Service: A permanent contract will be awarded to the selected candidate.
