Job Title: Financial Planner – 2 Posts

The Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate, relevant, and timely management reporting that allows for appropriate business decision making, providing value-added and analytical insights, and coordinating the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles to ensure strong financial performance.

 

 

The Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • To prepare accurate, timely, and insightful management reports and projections.
  • To engage with budget holders to understand the major cost and revenue drivers for relevant operations, and then use those factors to accurately anticipate costs and revenues.
  • Create cost dashboards to monitor costs and financial KPIs.
  • Attend regular meetings with the appropriate budget holders to ensure that costs are kept within budget.
  • Examine the phasing of budget vs actual expenditure and revenue, and aid budget holders with questions.
  • To liaise with budget holders on estimates and other adjustments, ensuring that substantial discrepancies are investigated and necessary corrective steps are implemented to get back on track.
  • To execute all day-to-day duties related to gasoline token administration, monthly cost allocation, and the creation of accurate and timely fuel reports.
  • Periodic purchase requisitions are issued for numerous high-cost aspects such as gasoline, electricity, cane haulage, and plant hire charges.
  • Accept self-development and lifelong learning to promote ongoing personal improvement.
  • Month-end journals should be prepared and submitted on time to enable proper financial reporting within the relevant sections.

 

 

The Job Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce or similar.
  • A minimum three (3) years of related experience.
  • To progress toward professional qualifications such as CPA/ACCA is an added benefit.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presenting abilities.
  • The report writing skills.

 

 

The Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract.
