The Job responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities:
- To contribute to projects by conducting assessments for the precise design of foundations, slopes, retaining walls, and a variety of other geotechnical features, as well as assessing existing structures and designing remedial solutions as needed.
- Capable of applying fundamental theoretical knowledge of geotechnical engineering and project management concepts.
- The role entails both office-based design and site supervision work for a wide range of geotechnical project sizes and types, as well as collaboration with experienced colleagues in Reading and across the Geotechnics locations.
- The post would entail working on projects requiring thorough geotechnical structural design, ground investigation and earthworks design and specification, and slope stability, settlement, and ground movement assessment.
- Capable of applying fundamental theoretical knowledge of geotechnical engineering and project management concepts.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
The Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnical engineering or a related field.
- Requires at least 15 years of relevant construction experience on similar-sized projects.
The Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education: A master’s degree is required, and there is no upper limit.
- Experience: Not less than 15 years.
