Geofields has a joint venture (partnership) with African Underground Mining Services (AUMS), which conducts underground operations at Geita for Geita Gold Mining (GGM) in Tanzania.

Title of Position: Graduate HR Officer

Work location: Geita Gold Mine, Geita

 

 

The Position Purpose:

The Graduate HR Officers will play an important role in the HR department, assisting with things such as recruitment, HR policies and procedures, HR administration, and industrial relations.

 

 The Duties and responsibilities:

  • Follows all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and directions. This includes using safety devices and protective equipment correctly, reporting any hazardous situations that they cannot correct on their own, making the necessary changes to eliminate or control the hazard, and reporting any accident or injury that occurs while working.
  • Takes necessary precautions to ensure their own and other people’s safety when carrying out their actions.
  • Assist the HR department with complete administrative chores for end-to-end employee operations.
  • To assist with the recruitment process by analyzing resumes, organizing interviews, and completing reference checks.
  • To prepare HR reports and analyze data on recruitment, training, and attendance.
  • Answer HR-related questions effectively and give timely follow-ups.

 

 

The Essential Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a comparable discipline.
  • To demonstrate passion for safety and a proactive approach to ensure that all employees prioritize safety at all times.

 

The Desirable requirements:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Capability to work as a team.
  • The ability to manage secret information.
