The Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) is an independent Tanzanian non-profit organization that provides funds and capacity building services to civil society groups (CSOs) to help them be more effective in engaging citizens in development processes.

The Graduate Trainee Program at FCS.

 

The Graduate Recruitment Announcement:

The FCS Graduate Trainee Program provides a unique opportunity for new graduates to get significant work experience, make a tangible difference in the development sector, and begin their careers with a reputable organization. This program is intended to attract outstanding individuals with the talents and passion to contribute significantly to FCS’ mission. We are looking for graduates (graduated in 2022 or later) with different abilities who are eager to get involved with a successful non-profit organization.

 

 

The Training Areas:

Accounts.

  • A strong analytical and numerical abilities, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • The ability to process financial transactions, reconcile accounts, support accounts payable/receivable, and help with financial reporting. Ready to learn Smart ERP, grant management, audit support, and timesheet coordination. Financial operations are accurate, compliant, and efficient.

 

The General Communication.

  • A strong writing abilities, social media awareness, event planning and execution experience, and a desire to engage with a wide range of people.

 

Programs.

  • The passion for development issues, proficiency in writing activity concepts and reports, strong organizational skills, and excellent cross-functional communication.

 

Administration and Operations.

  • The interest in financial management, administrative support, and logistics.
  • An attention to detail, problem-solving attitude, and desire to support organizational efficiency.

 

 

The Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field related to the selected traineeship area, completed by 2022 or later. Applicants who have proved academic excellence (by high GPA scores and/or academic prizes) are encouraged to apply.

 

 

The application Process:

  • Submit your application. A brief CV and cover letter (no more than one page) outlining your qualifications, abilities relevant to the preferred traineeship area, and motivation for joining FCS.
  • Written Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will be assigned a written task related to the traineeship area to evaluate relevant skills.
  • The application deadline is March 24, 2025, at midnight, East African Time (EAT).
