Development of Resources. (30%)
- In order to find financing opportunities from Support Offices, government donors, multilateral agencies, and other donors, collaborate with the director of resource development, the Senior Management Team, and the Technical Program Leads.
- To help in deciding whether to pursue additional grants and other external funding possibilities, a draft description of funding opportunities is provided.
- Assist the Support Office (SO), the government, the corporate sector, and international funders by organizing the creation of concept papers and preparing proposals (including logical frameworks, draft budgets, budget narratives, and monitoring and evaluation plans).
- Updating the grant tracking tool with information on current funding opportunities, submitted proposals, proposal approvals, and subsequent actions is important.
- Make sure that the policies and procedures of the business development partnership are followed.
Final outcomes
- Resource development from various sources, such as UN agencies, bilateral, multilateral, and donor organizations.
- Determine whatever financial options are available from government, multilateral, support offices, and other sources.
- Expand the organization’s ability to get financing from various sources of donors. The acquisition of funds will expand WVT’s portfolio and enhance its capacity to meet MVC needs and carry out operations in accordance with the strategic mandate and operational strategy.

External Participation (20%)
- Establish and maintain connections with important parties, such as support offices, foreign agencies, governments, foundations, and multilateral contributors.
- Serve as the main contact for the donor connections, portfolio, and allocated SOs.
- Organize donor and SO program visits in collaboration with the SOs.
- Make sure WVT initiatives offer chances to foster the formation of fresh coalitions and cooperative ventures.
- Establish and preserve productive connections with different stakeholders both within and externally.
- As required, ensure that the Regional Office, important SOs, donors, and partners receive program updates.
- Create important materials for stakeholder involvement, such as talking points, capacity statements, and stakeholder strategy analyses.
- Maintain regular communication and cultivate connections with important external (bi- and multi-lateral funders, government agencies) and internal (EARO, GC, and SOs) stakeholders.

- Determine whatever regional, national, and worldwide funding opportunities exist, then draft a business strategy to secure money.
- To evaluate the local fundraising effort in order to find both domestic and global potential. This involves creating a business plan for fundraising.
- Boost WVT’s profile and connections with stakeholders and donors.

Encouraging the formation of fresh partnerships and cooperative efforts. (20%).
- Work with the WVT program team to find new partnership and collaboration options. In addition, BDO will need to keep up internal and external relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Make that grant acquisition and management adhere to all internal and donor accountability standards. - Continue to update/revise the supporter engagement strategy and processes in close collaboration with the Resource Development Director in order to accommodate changing circumstances.

- To determine the holes in the partner’s program and finance systems.
- To determine how best to assist the partner in filling in the identified gaps.

Action.
Organize the creation of idea papers and funding diversity proposal drafts. (20%) - Examine requests for proposals and suggest, using the Go/No Go Process, if WVT should pursue financing opportunities.
- Create and carry out the WVT’s Grants Acquisition Business Plan, making sure it complies with all pertinent tactics.
Final outcomes.
Creation of concept papers and preparation of proposals for the Support Office (SO), the government, local institutions, high net worth people, and foreign donor organizations (FBOs), including logical frameworks, draft budgets, budget narratives, and plans for monitoring and assessment.
Action.
Encourage the director of resource development and his team to assume more accountability for grant applications. (10%)
- Make sure the Resource Development division receives and reviews any funding opportunities that come to our end in order to ensure that funding is increased fully and promptly.
- Make sure that official and informal reports on resource development challenges are sent to funders, partners, and SOs in a timely and efficient manner.
Final outcomes.
- To assist WVT in developing and diversifying its funding sources, including the mobilization of domestic and foreign resources.
- Assist pertinent stakeholders in coordinating the grant-making process for new and startup projects and programs.
- Assemble the report and promptly notify partners and donors about the resource development initiatives.
ACQUIREMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE FOR THE JOB.
Professional Experience Is Necessary.
- A minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant discipline.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related discipline, such as development studies, agriculture, health, or nutrition.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in integrated development, relief, and/or donor-funded project programming, including design, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring.

Preferred Skills and Credentials
- Oversee the installation of Horizon 3.0, which will assist the organization in tracking project implementation data, storing program documentation, and gathering and preserving data necessary for articulating project impact and encouraging proactive learning.
- As directed by WV policies and principles, take part in grant evaluations and lesson-learned exercises.
Requirements for Travel and/or Work Environment
20% are on call. Work in an office setting and travel frequently to the national office in Arusha and the field. Additionally, the role necessitates the ability and willingness to travel up to 35% of the time, both domestically and abroad (about two to four visits annually).
