Job location: Headquarters, Dar Es Salaam.
This role initially reports directly to the Senior Hardware Manager. There will also be extensive exposure, engagement, and collaboration with other departments, such as IT, Field Service, Credit, HR, Customer Care, Operations, Sales, and Finance.
Compensation/ Pay: a competitive salary with discretionary bonuses based on performance.

The duties and responsibilities:
The hardware developer is in charge of a number of mission-critical areas that will expose you to every part of our operations and technology:
- The product development assistance, including circuit and PCB design, prototype hardware programming, measurement, and testing.
- Solar, battery, and communication hardware acquired from the manufacturer will be tested and quality controlled.
- An assembly, soldering, and manufacturing of products for testing and/or sale.
- To develop and developing firmware and server software for IoT control and monitoring activities.
- Creating or enhancing apps related to IoT systems.
- We are developing new IoT solutions to better our goods, testing, and technical processes based on data.
- The customer technical support (level 2) and assistance for our customer care team.
- The field service troubleshooting, removals, and installations, possibly requiring travel.
The prerequisites (levels of proficiency):
The Hardware Developer must be familiar with a variety of technologies, responsible, and willing to learn. Given the unique nature of this profession, it is expected that the Hardware Developer would learn some of the required abilities while on the job.
- Measurement and construction are key aspects of digital circuitry and electronics.
- Circuit board programming involves uploading and testing software (medium).
- A firmware and software development Quality control.
- Fluent in both English and Swahili.
The minimum requirements:
The Personal characteristics and values are equally significant in job experience.
- Experience (knowledge) with hands-on work.
- A minimum of (t least) two (2) years of proven expertise in IoT or a related function.
- An excellent communication skills: capable of diagnosing and instructing.
- A highly organized and process-oriented, eager to accept responsibility.
- Thorough, with remarkable attention to detail.
- A bachelor’s degree in electronics, computer science, or a similar discipline.
