Description of the Position

Accountabilities:

  • Make sure that safe work practices are followed, including obligatory attendance at safety meetings and courses, the use of PPE as needed, incident and accident reporting, and strict adherence to all applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety policies as well as any related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Observe all maintenance guidelines and make sure that mechanical tasks are completed as per the norm, avoiding additional damage to any parts, systems, or equipment.
  • Make sure that all equipment is isolated, follow the guidelines for working in confined spaces and at heights, and do pre-start inspections and checks.
  • In order to meet production and cost goals, perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on plant and mobile equipment in a safe and effective way.
  • Troubleshooting, fault detection, and corrective maintenance should be performed to address unforeseen equipment outages.
  • Make sure maintenance procedures yield the highest possible level of equipment availability.
  • To ascertain job requirements, such as job sheets, quality, the quantity of goods or resources, etc., use the work instructions.
  • Make that preventative maintenance is being performed in accordance with maintenance requirements by doing PM inspections.
  • Upgrades and adjustments to plant and mobile equipment should be made as needed.
  • Removing and replacing machine parts
  • Give the supervisor fast and accurate feedback on any circumstances that might impair the equipment’s functionality.
  • Make sure supervisors and other relevant parties are informed about the current state of equipment availability.
  • Keep track of any unfinished maintenance or repairs.
  • Finalize the transition of shifts.
  • Engage fully in training exercises to expand your skill set and reach your greatest potential.
  • Determine and fix problems with the electrical systems of cars.

Prerequisites for Qualification:

  • Form IV is the certificate of ordinary level.
  • Certificate of Auto Electrical Trade (FTC, IMTT, and VETA).
  • A legitimate driver’s license.

Requires experience and proficiency:

  • Experience with subterranean equipment maintenance.
  • Three years of HD auto-electrician experience.
  • Mechanical understanding of heavy machinery is necessary.

Requirements for knowledge and skills:

  • Repair and diagnose the electrical system in an automobile.
  • Finding electrical and electronic problems with test equipment.
  • Tearing down and taking apart electrical and electronic assemblies and parts.
  • Able to put knowledge of engines, chassis, and vehicle electronics to use.
  • Install parts like lights, turn signals, horns, alternators, and starter motors.
  • Take care of the charging and battery systems.
  • Examine and evaluate electrical components and connections.
  • Electrical connectors, relays, fuses, and circuit breakers need all be replaced and installed.
  • Technical diagram analysis and interpretation by Abel.
