Goal of the role and Principal Duties:

Goal of the role:

The position oversees a portfolio that consists of the following four (4) functions:

  • Detection and Prevention of Fraud; Business Continuity Management (BCM).
  • Law Enforcement Assistance (LEA) and Physical Security; and Forensic and Investigations.
  • Furthermore, the HoD: CRS serves as the Risk Management Committee’s (RMC) secretary.
  • The local Audit and Risk Compliance Committee (ARCC), the Vodacom Group RMC, and the ARCC are all reached vertically by the RMC Secretary via the FD.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Overseeing the local translation and implementation of the strategy, mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives of the Vodafone/Vodafone Group CRS.
  • To translate and implement, that is, localize and enforce the governance of the portfolio, in accordance with the following:
  • Local policies and procedures; Global Policy Standards (GPS); Global Policy Detailed Requirement (GPDR).
  • Contract management in the event that a service is outsourced, such as physical security, and the following documents’ contents are watched over and upheld:
  • Statement of Work; Master Procurement Agreement (SoW).
  • Agreements on Service Levels (SLA).

In charge of overseeing the following units’ tasks and obligations, in brief:

  • Management of Business Continuity (BCM)
  • Planning and upkeep of BCM done annually.
  • Reporting system testing results in comparison to the schedule.
  • Ensuring sufficient capacity for recuperation.
  • Assessing the ability to recover.
  • Physical safety and support for law enforcement (LEA).
  • Control of access.
  • Management of Visitors.
  • Manage Control Rooms.
  • Data Center Safety.
  • Vodacom On-Site Safety.
  • Assistance to Law Enforcement (LEA)
  • Detective & Forensic.
  • Fraud Awareness.
  • Fraud Avoidance.
  • Fraud Control.
  • Reports and investigations.

Experience, knowledge, core competencies, and professional qualifications:

  • A graduate of university with more than ten years of expertise in the banking, mobile telephony, logistics, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries in governance, risk, and controls, such as internal audit.
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Powerful leadership abilities.
  • Strong research and investigative abilities.
  • Abilities in intelligence collecting and surveillance.
  • Skills for Assessing Physical Security Risk.
  • Proficient in both English and Kiswahili, outstanding writing and communication abilities, and the capacity to collaborate with other team members.
  • The capacity to put knowledge to use and advise management appropriately.
  • Being at ease navigating intricate and changing organizational systems of a multinational corporation that operates quickly.
  • Create and preserve cross-functional connections between various teams and areas.
  • The capacity to maintain initiative and dynamism in a setting that is changing quickly. a mindset that is process- and analysis-oriented.
