We are seeking a proactive individual who is enthusiastic about delivering a world-class service to customers in order to fill the position of Human Resources Officer and join our expanding team in Mwanza, Tanzania. The employee will support management and staff in fostering a highly motivated culture across the nation, as well as implement and maintain the HR policies, procedures, and systems.

The position will be based in Mwanza, Tanzania, and report to the Human Resources Manager.

Goal of the position:

To put into practice and uphold the systems, procedures, and policies related to human resources that facilitate the accomplishment of organizational goals. helps the human resources manager create a driven, business-focused culture that encourages worker engagement and output.

The duties of the job:

  • Oversee the resourcing process to make sure the business has enough human resources available on schedule.
  • Assist in meeting the basic technical standards and promoting a learning culture while facilitating individual and company-specific learning and development needs.
  • Aids line management in carrying out the performance management process in a way that complies with the guidelines and standards.
  • Assist in providing line management and staff with advice, direction, and assistance on all employee relations issues in order to promote a positive work environment.
  • Oversee the execution and continuous upkeep of the entire Human Resources administration function on the premises in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Help oversee the contractor’s compliance with the Company’s minimal requirements for personnel management.
  • Fill out the regular Human Resources reports that are due on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist in providing line management and staff with advice, direction, and assistance on all employee relations issues while promoting a positive work environment in order to administer the industrial relations procedure.
  • Implement the company’s employee relations activities, which involve continual monitoring and rollout.
  • To encourage staff motivation and engagement.
  • Organize communication, relationships, and membership in the union.
  • Oversee the disciplinary procedures and frameworks.
  • Oversee the termination procedures and all other types of worker separations.
  • Oversee the Company’s operations and sorrowful (funeral) ceremonies.
  • Participate in the creation and application of best practices for human resources.
  • Respect all company policies, guidelines, and directives, particularly those pertaining to quality control, sustainability, safety, and community relations.
  • Look for and seize possibilities for continual development in the Human Resources field on an ongoing basis.

 

Your Qualifications & Profile:

  • Human Resources or Business Administration bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in an administrative or human resources role.
  • Understanding of union relations and labor law.
  • Knowledgeable about computers and proficient with the Microsoft suite.
  • Awareness of all applicable legal frameworks.
  • Familiarity with pertinent HR management information systems, such as payroll and HR reporting.
  • Possessing a current driver’s license from Tanzania (extra advantage).
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication along with experience in report writing.
