THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- To oversee the building and installation of weather stations and stations.
- Measure the amount of water in rivers, ponds, and lakes.
- To do data verification (validation) during data processing.
- To construct plans and other diagrams of observation networks in hydrology and meteorology.
- To develop strategies, design, and manage construction operations in observation centers (observation networks).
- To manage the hydrological inquiry into the link between water depth and water amount (stage-discharge observations).
- To create maps of water catchments in basins using a Geographical Information System (GIS).
- To create maps depicting flood-affected areas in valleys and to assist in delivering precautionary advise.
- To ensure the accuracy of all hydrological and meteorological data.
- To undertake any other related duties as given by the supervisor.
The Qualifications and Experience:
- A holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrology or Water Resources Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
