What actions will you take?

Purpose of the Job: 

  • Create and implement a distribution plan for insurance on the ground to guarantee that growth targets are reached.
  • Support the development of new products, product upgrades, configuration changes, change requests, and issues by collaborating with IT and other M-Pesa teams.
  • Total responsibility for VodaBima’s customer retention strategy and churn control.
  • Create and preserve positive relationships with your insurance partners.
  • Verify that Partners pay the VodaBima Platform fees on schedule.
  • Assure prompt payment of claims and raise client satisfaction.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Create and implement a plan to ensure that VodaBima products and services are adopted and penetrated as widely as possible.
  • Coordinating with the product development team on new initiatives and organizing all issues that call for improvements and developments.
  • Analyze your competitors and take tactical action to overcome the obstacles.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits and consumer understanding activities to gain insight into the behavior and/or pain points of various client segments and to provide critical information for improvement.
  • Regular observation of the subscriber base, churn, usage, and offers to guarantee a robust clientele.

Core knowledge, abilities, and experience:

  • Strong logical and analytical thinking abilities derived from customer insights.
  • Outstanding abilities in communication.
  • Excellent ability to handle stakeholders.
  • Capacity to foresee market dynamics, competitors, and customers.
  • Capable of questioning the current situation.

Requires professional or technical qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or risk management and insurance, or an equivalent degree.
  • She or he must have three years or more of professional experience in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of national insurance laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in both business and analysis.
  • Establish and preserve connections with important value chain players.
  • Experience with and knowledge of project management would be helpful.

Key performance indicators:

  • VodaBima Growth overall in accordance with the company’s goal.
  • Expand the market and value share of VodaBima.
  • Timely and accurate delivery of the calendar-specified execution plans.
  • Support quality and stakeholder congruence.
