We are seeking active and competent interns for the following positions:

 

Position Title: Intern Digital Officer

Answers to (Reports to): Business Development Manager

 

 

The Job Role:

We are seeking a tech-savvy and creative Intern Digital Officer to join our team at Marie Stopes Tanzania. The intern will help us manage our digital presence, increase our online interaction, and support various digital marketing campaigns. This position is suitable for a recent graduate or current student looking to acquire expertise in digital marketing for the healthcare industry.

 

The key responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • To assist with content creation, scheduling, and publishing on various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • To monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and analyze metrics to evaluate success.
  • Assist in building online communities and gaining followers.

 

 

Content Creation and Digital Marketing:

  • Create appealing images, movies, and multimedia content with tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and other design applications.
  • To assist with writing blog entries, website articles, and social media captions.
  • Encourage email marketing initiatives, including content production and distribution.

 

Website and SEO Support:

  • To update website material to verify that information is current.
  • To assist with basic SEO optimization to increase website presence.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • To track and report on digital campaign performance with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and other analytics platforms.
  • Offer comments and suggestions for content and marketing enhancement.

 

Additional (Other) digital initiatives:

  • Assist with coordinating online webinars and virtual events.
  • To assist with research into digital trends and best practices.

 

 

The Qualifications:

  • A current studying or recently graduated with a degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a similar profession.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms (such as Google Analytics and social media management tools).
  • A basic understanding of SEO and SEM principles.
  • A creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organization abilities and attention to detail.

 

The preferred qualifications :

  • The experience with content management systems (such as WordPress) is a plus.
  • The familiarity with graphic design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite) is beneficial.
  • A previous internship or employment experience in digital marketing or healthcare is advantageous.
