Position: Intern Marketing Officer

Answers to (Reports to): Business Development Manager

 

 

The Job Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Intern Marketing Officer to join our team at Marie Stopes Tanzania. The intern will help with the formulation and implementation of marketing strategies to promote our services and increase brand visibility. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or current student to obtain practical experience in the healthcare marketing area.

 

The key responsibilities:

Marketing Campaign Support:

  • To assist in the conception and execution of marketing initiatives through various commercial channels.
  • Encourage the creation of advertising materials such as brochures and flyers.
  • To coordinate and engage in field and cooperative activities, community outreach, reach initiatives, and events.

 

 

Social Media and Digital Marketing:

  • To assist with content production for social media channels to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • To monitor interaction and provide feedback to improve digital outreach.
  • Help with running paid adverts and measuring performance indicators.

 

Customer Engagement and Market Research:

  • To conduct market research and competitor analysis to spot trends and opportunities.
  • To assist in gathering client feedback and analysing customer data.
  • Help the team improve customer experience and brand loyalty.

 

Partnership and Outreach Support:

  • To assist in interacting with potential partners and stakeholders to increase outreach efforts, recruitment, and retention of existing and new clients.
  • Encourage partnership with influencers, media, and local organizations for brand promotion.
  • Assist in planning marketing activities and events.

 

 

Reporting and Performance Tracking:

  • Use applicable analytics tools to monitor and report on campaign performance.
  • Make recommendations for optimizing marketing efforts based on data insights.

 

The Qualifications:

  • The current studying or have recently earned a degree in marketing, communications, business, or a similar profession.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with social media networks and digital marketing tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organization abilities and attention to detail.

 

The preferred qualifications:

  • An experience with graphic design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage.
  • A previous internship or work experience in marketing or healthcare is beneficial.
