ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
The Amref Health Africa – Tanzania is an autonomous, non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) whose aim is “to improve people’s health by partnering with and empowering communities and strengthening health systems”. Amref Health Africa-Tanzania receives support from multilateral, bilateral, and national donors for programs such as HIV/AIDS/TB/Malaria, reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health, water and sanitation, and clinical outreach.
The Amref Health Africa Tanzania’s projects address the needs of underserved groups, primarily women and children, in accordance with national health priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals. We seek to improve the efficacy, efficiency, and sustainability of health care by strengthening health systems, increasing access to services, advocating for stronger community health systems, and influencing health policies. Amref Health Africa Tanzania presents the following opportunity:
Job Title: Electronic document management system (EDMS) – Data Clerk (4)
Answer to/ Reports to: ICT Officer
Job location: Dar es Salaam
Job duration: Two (2) Months
Purpose of the Job:
- To improve Document Workflow by creating a centralized digital repository for an organization’s papers and data. This allows for efficient storage, organization, retrieval, and sharing.
- To enhance Information Security and Compliance Edms enable enterprises to store and manage documents in a secure and controlled environment.
The Duties and responsibilities:
- An appraise, prepare, and clean documents for scanning.
- Examine data for errors, make necessary corrections, and double-check output. Scan documents and print files as needed.
- To export and quality-check data from the EDMS.
- To post documents, file them, and box scanned documents.
- To compile, check, and sort documents and information as instructed.
- Create reports, save completed work in predefined areas, and perform backups.
- To respond to inquiries for information and access pertinent files.
- Respect data integrity and security policies.
- To keep all information secret (confidential).
Job Academic Qualification:
A Minimum Diploma or Degree in Information, Records, or Computer Related Course [6] Month Computer Training or Academic Certification in Computer Related Subject
The required skills:
- Data input task.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and data programs.
- Knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and scanners.
- Minimum 30 WPM. Typing speed and precision.
- Ability to maintain attention on specified duties.
