The Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) strives to be Africa’s chosen source of accessible specialist health services, serving as a healthcare social enterprise as well as through community and vulnerable population development projects. CCBRT is committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, and it also conducts substantial maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) initiatives, such as obstetric fistula repairs. The Maternity and Newborn Wing is a referral clinic for high-risk and emergency deliveries in Dar es Salaam and Tanzania’s Eastern Zone.

To strengthen our Internal Audit function, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Auditor who will deliver internal audit services under the direction of the Chief Internal Auditor.

 

 

Your role:

As an Internal Auditor, you will assist with audit efforts, evaluate internal controls, and ensure compliance with financial and operational standards.

 

 

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in designing and carrying out internal audits to evaluate internal controls.
  • Examining financial statements, transactions, and documents to ensure correctness, compliance, and fraud detection Testing the functioning and dependability of internal systems and processes.
  • Data collection and analysis to discover trends, discrepancies, or anomalies.
  • Verify financial documents, account reconciliations, and inventory data.
  • Documenting audit findings, identifying risks and areas for improvement, and creating detailed reports, Supporting risk management objectives while maintaining compliance with policies, legislation (IPSAS, IFRS), and industry standards.
  • Providing administrative and analytical support to the Chief Internal Auditor.
  • Assisting with follow-up activities to ensure corrective steps are implemented.
  • To maintain the confidentiality of important company information.

 

 

The Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline from an accredited institution.
  • The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and NBAA-registered.
  • At least 1 – 3 years of auditing experience (health-related experience is preferred).
  • Expertise in auditing software, SQL, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • A thorough understanding of auditing techniques, risk assessment, and compliance.
  • The candidates possessing the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification will have an edge.
  • Fluent in English and Swahili.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills.
  • The ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
